Hi! My name is Eric C. Miller. I’m a member of the Communication Studies faculty at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where I do a lot of reading and writing about religion and politics. Over the last decade or so, I have been reviewing books and interviewing authors for a variety of web outlets and academic journals, in addition to writing articles and editing a pair of essay collections. Here at my own site, I aggregate those pieces and update regularly. Feel free to browse!
Officially, this site serves a pair of purposes. First, it gives me a place to sort and compile my reading projects, which are systematic and many. I read lots of books and like to recommend the really good ones to everyone I know, whether they’ve asked me to or not. I also like connecting with other people who read lots of books, especially if they read the same sort of books that I do. (If you’re active on Goodreads, let’s be friends, or whatever!) Second, the site gives me a place to post professional stuff, like my CV and publications, so people can access my work. If you’re interested, those things are available under the “Work” tab.
